Review: Wantable Makeup Box August 2014*

Hi Ladies,
Today I want to share with you my Wantable Makeup Box for August. As many of you know, I have been pretty disappointed in my Ipsy Glam Bags lately. Trying this box out again was a nice switch up from the mini samples that I have been getting from Ipsy. For those of you unfamiliar with Wantable, it is a beauty subscription box that you can sign up for monthly (or whenever you would like). It is $36.00 a month or $40.00 for a one time box. You get 4-5 full size products that are tailored to your beauty profile that you fill out when signing up. If you are not happy with your box, you can send the whole box back and get a refund. They also have  Jewelry Subscription Box and an Intimates Subscription Box as well.

The featured cosmetic brands for the month of August are Elizabeth Mott, Marsk, Tarina Tarentino, Mica Beauty, and Geri G.

Lets get started with the goodies that I have recieved!

Elizabeth Mott Smooth Shadow in Pearl $14.99
I actually already have this exact pencil from an Ipsy bag. It is the deluxe sample size. This is the full size product. I liked this product originally and this it is great for highlighting the inner corners of your eyes and your waterline. Even though I already have this, it will definitely get used.

Mica Beauty Cosmetics Lip Liner Pencil in Mahoganey $20.00
This liner is a bit dark for a natural lip liner color on me however, it will be a great color for transitioning into the fall. It is a pinkish/brown color. I could fill in my whole lips with this liner and add a lighter gloss on top. I could also line my outer lips with this then blend in with a rosy/nude colored lipstick. The liner is both pigment and creamy.

Here is an example of my lips lined and filled with this liner and topped with Nyx Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Natural.

Here are swatches of both liners:

Vincent Longo Pearl X Eyeshadow in Luna Beach $25.00
I have never tried any Vincent Longo products so I was excited to see this in my box. This was a very interesting eyeshadow. I don't own anything quite like this. That says something because I have a TON of makeup. The shadow has three different marbled colors that you can use separately. You can also swirl them together to create a blended color. The colors are very pretty on their own but I LOVE them combined. The shadow is creamy and pigmented. The colors are a little hard to use separately but it is possible with a smaller brush. The shadow blends nicely and I didn't experience any major creasing.

Here are swatches of the shadows:
L-R: Bronze , Purple , Slate/Blue , Taupe ( all 3 colors combined)

Tarina Tarantino Dollskin Blush Palette $45.00
I was SUPER excited to see this blush palette! I saw last month's box where they featured Tarina's eyeshadow palettes and was hoping to get a product by this brand. First of all, the packaging is beautiful, including the outer box. I have never tried any of her products and was very happy with this.

The four blushes in this palette are a decent size. It is also a well rounded palette in terms of color variation. For people like me that can't travel with just one blush, this is the perfect palette. The colors are soft and extremely pigmented. They apply and blend beautifully. I didn't notice any fading throughout the day. There was a bit of fall out in the pan but this was due to the super soft texture of the blush. It didn't bother me at all.

Here are swatches of the blush:
 L-R: top left-Feather, top right-Parasol, bottom left-Carved Rose, bottom right-Candy Cameo

Feather:Shimmering Peach
Parasol: Shimmering Bright Pink Coral
Carved Rose:Cool Vivid Pink (matte)
Candy Cameo:Shimmering Pink

This was most definitely my favorite item in the bunch. I feel that I will get a ton of use out of this palette. I really want to try some of their eyeshadow palettes next.

Here is a look that I created using all four products from this box:
-Vincent Longo Pearl X Eyeshadow in Luna Beach on lids and crease
-Elizabeth Mott Smooth Shadow in Pearl on waterline and inner corners
-Tarina Tarantino Parasol Blush on Cheeks
-Mica Beauty Lip Liner in Mahoganey on lips

Overall, I was really pleased with this makeup box.  The retail value of this box is $104.99. The Tarina Tarantino palette was definitely the show stopper. Considering that it retails for $45.00, it is quite a deal for it to come in a subscription box. All of the items that I recieved will get used and there was nothing that I didn't like. I love that Wantable gives you the option of signing up monthly or one time. If you are like me and want full size products over samples, or if you are looking for a great gift, this is a excellent option.

I think I may want to give their jewelry subscription box another try!
